Rain and clouds have been the story in southern Ontario. Now heavy rain pushes into BC. According to Environment Canada, “the system combined with a moist upper level southerly flow will produce heavy rain in the Kootenay region. Up to 30 mm is expected by Monday night and early Tuesday.” The rain comes as good news to firefighers in the area. The Keremeos Fire Department were called to the scene of a grass fire over the weekend and they enlisted the help of the Kamloops Fire Centre who provided both helicopters and water bombers in an attempt to bring the blaze under control. The rain in Vancouver looks to be a little less significant. Sometimes June rain on Vancouver Island is a pretty picture.
